i saw the funniest thing on the way to work this morning. the car in front of me lost one of its windshield wipers...it just flew right off as the car was sitting at a stoplight. the driver got out, looking a little perturbed, yet amused, put the wiper back on, and got back in the car.

in other news, this store got a ticket for not having 75% of its name in english. what's next? are they going to fine taco bell? (source: obscure store)

this is the first ever correction in notes. huzzah! now, i'm not saying that the other information here is totally correct (it isn't), but this is the first time i've ever alerted you to a goof.

it's come to my attention that private art is indeed a personal site and not a commercial production of environmedia as previously thought, despite what it says on the web site. my apologies.

thought for the day: march 4th is the only day that works as a command as well as a date: march 4th. march forth. (courtesy of nichol mcgrane)

also, nyqil causes me to have some really weird dreams. wow.

i read two nifty articles today.

the first is a piece written by leslie harpold at smug concerning the increased proliferation of information and our attempt to keep up with it.

the second is a salon article on bombs in online mailing lists.

someday, everyone will be an amazon associate just so they can get 15% off of their purchases there. none of the associates will be making any money, and amazon will just be giving everyone an extra 15% off on purchases. this is what my dad calls having an army of all generals and no privates.

also, 0sil8 is a finalist in the sxsw interactive web competition in the personal site catagory. i'm competing against two friends, a flash-based gabocorp ripoff, and a site which really isn't a personal site. godspeed to maura, flaunt, and, if I may be so bold, to 0sil8.

i've got writer's block. a prof of mine in college told me that the best thing for writer's block was to write straight on through it.

nuts to that. i'm already tired of looking at this screen today, and i'm certainly not going to bore you good people with any such attempt.

although i fear it is already too late.

p.s. the new fatboy slim rocks.
